Optical Illusion

Morphosis is an optical illusion in which it is possible to let an image change several times in a single frame, purely based on the changing perspective of the person walking by. This design can show up to four images which can be seen from four exact viewpoints.

The first project in which Morphosis is applied is an commissioned work made in collaboration with interactive designer Tim van Cromvoirt and Belgium poet/writer Peter Verhelst for the project ”Uitgeschreven ruimte” organized by BKKC. ”Vergeet niet te vergeten” is a 4 line poem that unveils itself while walking down the stairs. Each descend is a change in perspective and will result in another line of the poem. The full concept, design and production by Mark van Cromvoirt & Tim van Cromvoirt. The poem is by Peter Verhelst.
